I recently upgraded to Simergy v1.3, and I'm trying to utilize the OpenStudio Sketchup plugin to generate geometries. According to the Simergy help file, I should be able to import a gbxml file. But upon entering the "Import:Browse" dialog box within Simergy, I can only select IDF files. The OpenStudio Sketchup plugin I'm using utilizes EnergyPlus v8.1, while Simergy utilizes EnergyPlus v7.2 - so I'm not sure if I can import an IDF instead.

My questions:

  1. Is there an ideal way to convert an E+ 8.1 IDF file into an E+ 7.2 file in order to import into Simergy?
  2. How can I import gbxml files into Simergy?
