OpenStudio Extension/Plugin Not Working on Sketchup2021

Hi everyone, I am experiencing problems with enabling the OpenStudio extension for SketchUp.

I am currently using the SketchUpPro 2021 30-day trial and have downloaded the OpenStudio extension. When I attempt to enable it on Extension Manager, a window pops up asking for the "Path to Open Studio Root Directory". When I paste the directory into the textbox in the window, an alert pops up saying: File 'C:/Program Files/OpenStudio/Ruby/openstudio_modeleditor.rb' does not exist. I deleted both apps and downloaded the most recent version of OpenStudio (3.2.1) and the SketchUp Plugin v.1.2.0 as per the compatibility matrix in https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/wi..., but it still doesn't work.

I would really appreciate your assistance on this issue.

Many thanks!

Have you confirmed the path to OpenStudio is correct. The default path unless you changed it would typically have the version in it.

I think the issue is that you need to download the OpenStudio Application in order to use the SketchUp Plug-in. The OpenStudio SDK (3.2.1) by itself is not sufficient as it does not include the graphical UI dialogs that the SketchUp Plug-in needs. Try downloading and installing OpenStudio Application 1.2.0 then point the SketchUp Plug-in to "C:\openstudioapplication-1.2.0". Note that OpenStudio Application 1.2.0 uses OpenStudio SDK 3.2.0. A new version of OpenStudio Application will be released soon based on OpenStudio SDK 3.2.1.

Thanks Dan! IT TOTALLY WORKED. So will I have to update this version once the new OpenStudio Application (based on OS SDK 3.2.1) is released?

Yes, there is a release candidate based on OS SDK 3.2.1 now for testing.
