I'm wondering if eQuest can calculate area and volume based on the geometry model? In other words, rather than manually inputting the area and volume into the space properties, can area and volume information be output by the program?

Area and volume information are automatically calculated by DOE-2 based on the geometry model and are included in the outputs. The outputs are shown in the .SIM output file which can be displayed after running a simulation.

Thanks, Daniel. I see in the SIM file under LV-B Summary of Spaces there are area and volume values listed but I think these are the result of me manually inputting area and volume values in each Space Properties? Or are those listed values outputs calculated by the program?

Oh I think I understand now. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm using a POLYGON for the Shape so the area and the volume numbers that occupy the area and volume fields in the Space Properties are automatically calculated by the program based on the POLYGON I assigned. The only way to manually input area and volume values is if I used Box for the Shape.
