Set Fraction Out door air in AirLoopHVAC:OutdoorAirSystem by EMS Sensor and Actuator

Hi everyone,

I'm modeling an economizer system using AirLoopHVAC:OutdoorAirSystem for mixing air (return air from Thermal Zone and Outdoor air if the out door air condition is satisfied) using EMS to set the setpoint.

I wonder that if I want to use EMS to control the OA Fraction (or ratio between out door air and return air) of AirLoopHVAC:OutdoorAirSystem, which sensor and actuator (or component) should I set and control. This is my model (I controlled the relief air flow rate and supply air flow rate).

Thanks for all your relief and support for my question.

@tri.ton99this post shows an example of using sensors and actuators related to outdoor air flows, and this post in combination with this post covers the process of knowing what EMS actuators are available to use in your model. Does that answer your question?

I am reading these posts to apply for my model. I will update this comment if it work.

Thank you very much for your reply.

@Aaron Is it possible if I use this actuator (from the post you recommended) to control OA flow rate:

EnergyManagementSystem:Actuator, oa_flow_override, Wet Data Center OA Controller, Outdoor Air Controller, Air Mass Flow Rate;

Bcause I read that OA Flow rate is modified automatively by system to satisfy the air condition inside the mixed box. I wonder that it may return some errors.

In the post that you recommend, the setback_sch_1 stand for which parameter (OA Fraction, or moment on day). Why he used minimum divided maximum flow rate, is it stand for Damper status. Thank you very much
