I am modelling a double skin facade where I want to place solar shading inside the cavity. I am modelling it as interior blinds and I want to control them according to the zone air temperature.

But I want them to be controlled by the air temperature inside an occupied zone and therefore not in the thermal zone that the blinds are placed inside (cavity)

Is it possible to specify which thermal zone the blinds should be controlled according to?

Thanks.

For sure through EMS.

You have to find the right actuator (related to shading system control) and the sensor you want (the room temperature). Then you have to write ruling equations into program and you have to call it at right time into simulation timestamp.

To do it inside designbuilder it needs to have the relative module licensed
