I've been tracking OpenStudio for a while and I went out on my own recently. This is now a priority for me. I downloaded 1.1.1 Alpha 3. I plugged in BCL ID and nothing is coming in. I've tried https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H08k... and the applied measure is not coming in. Best resources in getting up to speed is appreciated

@ElSid have you followed the installation instructions from OpenStudio Coalition? There are instructions for the OpenStudio Application, then below that for getting set up with a BCL account and accessing BCL measures in the application.

Each download link points to the latest pre-release versions on Github, so it may be better to download installers for the latest release versions instead.

Yes, I followed those instructions. I then went ahead and uninstalled the Alpha version, re-booted, and went back to 1.1.0 stable version. Same issue. The registration key for BCL is logged into my computer as I did NOT have to add the authentication code again. Reading some of the the other threads, it is my understanding that this is standalone ... I do not need the SKD version or Energy+ (both of which I can download if needed). Per similar issues documented on other threads, the BCL downloads have either taken a long time and on two occasions crashed OpenStudio.

@ElSid Yes -- if you only want to download and use BCL measures you don't need the SDK or EnergyPlus. Have you tried the suggestion from this post to use a different web browser than Google Chrome to download measures directly from the BCL website?

Caveat, I'm in need of learning to use the software ... I saw that post, but have not downloaded the components or measures separately as suggested. It was posted a week ago and hoped it was resolved. As per my original post. I was trying to follow the example on the YouTube video. At 1:30 to 2:00, it discusses a whole building category. That is not part of the standard install. Manual download try is next

@ElSid you need to download measures from the BCL BEFORE you can apply them to a model. Does the answer in this post with images about downloading BCL measures help?
