what comfort radiant temperature weighting means ?

in designbuilder there is an option in the activity onglet "comfort radiant temperature weighting" where i can choose between 2 choices of calculation type :zone average or surface with largest winthow , if anyone knows what that means please

I suggest you to check DesignBuilder program help, more specifically at the sub-chapter "Comfort Radiant Temperature Calculation" https://designbuilder.co.uk/helpv6.0/...

In summary:

This field specifies the type of Mean Radiant Temperature (MRT) calculation the user wishes to use for the thermal comfort model. There are currently two options:

1-Zone averaged where the standard MRT is used in comfort calculations.

2-Surface with largest window which calculates the radiant temperature for a person close to the largest window in each zone.
