I get this fatal error when running simulation. Using Open studio. The sublayers appear properly under the wall layers, and all wall layers have 'outside' as boundary. I assume the outside layer for the windows is inherited from the walls. I have matched surfaces several times without improvement.

You need to define a separate construction assembly for fenestration -- they cannot use the same opaque construction assemblies as walls, roofs, and floors (one exception is opaque doors vs. glass doors).

The layers for windows are not inherited from the walls they sit inside of, but the boundary condition can be (outdoors, adiabatic, another surface, ground, etc.).

This post has some related information for this error.
