Hi

I am looking how to simulate external laundry appliances on my home? We have a house with a laundry room without HVAC equipment, this room is apart from home. So the internal gain for these, does not need into the HVAC dimension.

I need to know how can I simulate into EnergyPlus.

thanks.

If the Equipment object (e.g., ElectricEquipment) is located in a conditioned zone, you can set its Fraction Lost field to 1.0. This will mean that none of the internal gains are seen by the HVAC system.

Alternatively, you could model the laundry room as a separate thermal zone that is not conditioned.

If the dryer is gas, another option is to use an Exterior:FuelEquipment object.
