I'm new to EnergyPlus. I was designing an input data file of a household for simulating the electricity consumption of different appliances in the household. For that, I went to the following website,

http://apps1.eere.energy.gov/building...

But it's not working. Is there any alternative website where I can generate the input data file for the same?

Thank you

This used to be the link to the EnergyPlus Example File Generator (EEFG) which was discontinued a long long time ago. I just removed that from the Getting Started documentation actually (cf PR#7666)

I suggest you head over to the Quickstart guide instead: https://energyplus.net/quickstart

The EnergyPlus example files are a great place to start too.

Several third party tools can help you build more specific energyplus models if that's what you need and the built-in IDF Editor isn't suiting your needs, such as BEOpt, OpenStudio, as well as other commercial software.

This question may help too: Simplified Modeling Tools, and though the answer is quite outdated one potential replacement candidate is Asset Score which allows you to create a simplified model online and retrieve a working OpenStudio Model (OSM) out of it: https://buildingenergyscore.energy.gov/

I just found this question that asked the same: https://unmethours.com/question/39683...
