(OpenStudio) Zone thermal has spaces with different floors

Hello, I have a problem with a simulation,is there anybody answer my question.I made a building with 2 floors, and 6 thermal zones in Openstudio, some of thermal zones have different floors for example zone 1 inclodes 4 spaces with different floors (first floor and second floor),and zone thermal 2 has 2 spaces in diferent floor.Rightnow, there is some problem for simulation and adding HVAC equipments ,because there is not all of the spaces in the same thermal zone( but different floors)in the HVAC parts (only one of them) ,on the other hand ,when I transfer the file to energy plus there are some warning for example this warning

Warning ** CalculateZoneVolume: The Zone="THERMAL ZONE 1" is not fully enclosed. To be fully enclosed, each edge of a surface must also be an edge on one other surface.
   **   ~~~   **   The zone volume was calculated using the floor area times ceiling height method where the floor and ceiling are the same except for the z-coordinates.
   **   ~~~   **   The surface    "SURFACE 102" has an edge that is either not an edge on another surface or is an edge on three or more surfaces: 
   **   ~~~   **     Vertex start { 21.3399, 3.1865, 3.0000}
   **   ~~~   **     Vertex end   { 31.4355, 3.1865, 3.0000}

You should have separate thermal zones, but they can be served by the same air loop, with the control thermostat in one of the two zones; or you use another control strategy.

Thank you David ,I tried to do the same but after I add thermal zone 1 to thermal zone 2 in the same air loop,They (thermal zone 1,and zone 2) are repeated in the next line (automatically). On the other hand I am trying to use a heat pump (water to air )in the building ,but it seems It should be use for each thermal zone one separate heat pump,while there are 17 thermal zones, and it's not practical I use 17 heat pump in the building.Is there a possibility for connecting 2 or 3 zones to a heat pump?

Actually, the reason of my previous question ,for the choosing the spaces from the different floors ,and merge the zones is because of the problem of heat pump for each zone that I mentioned. Thank you!

combine other spaces/zones to reduce the the number of hpwhs, or live with 17; spaces on different floors shouldn't be in the same thermal zone. When you say 'not practical' do you mean in reality or in the model? Adding 17 hpwhs isn't unreasonable in the model.

According the heating load of each zone,and capacity of heat pump that I found in the table for different models, I could consider one hpwhs for 3 or 4 zones. On the other hand I am trying to use GSHP system in the building.

Another option would be to combine spaces and thermal zones so that you have one space per zone and one zone per GSHP. I believe that you should be able to have multiple zones associated with a single zone system with the thermostat in the control zone, but if you are having issues making that work, you can just do as I suggested.
