is there a example file for risk condensation analysis in energy plus?

Wufi is a great software but unfortunately i can't afford it, i believe that energy plus can do a similar analysis but i have no experience in that type of simulation. So where i can find a tutorial or example file?

The EnergyPlus example file is called HAMT_HourlyProfileReport.idf, in the usual ExampleFiles folder.

Im going to stick my head out here and say that EnergyPlus can't do this 'out of the box'. I'm sure you could find a way to do it in EnergyPlus, but its not obvious to me. IES<ve> can do an interstitial condensation analysis. This is a calculation of the risk of moisture forming in between the material layers in a construction, with some fixed temperature and humidity conditions on the inside and outside faces of the construction. DesignBuilder appears to offer the same.

Another form of condensation analysis would be to quantify the risk of moisture forming inside an occupied zone. That could be done with EnergyPlus and a simple spreadsheet psychometric analysis.

I used IES and was underwhelmed, as always, with the controllability of the calculation and the documentation of its workings.

Tthanks, but i am more interested in the ham method, i use Tas for interticial condensation and works fine, but is the simplified way to analysis, I noticed than when i open Energy plus you can change the Heat balance algorithm for combine heat and moisture finite element, I thing thats the one i looking for. I'd suggest editing it to retain the alternative suggestion of using IES, but without stating that EnergyPlus can't do it.

Hello, I am interested in this topic, too. Do you know, if one can change the used HeatBalanceAlgorithm from "OpenStudio" (and provide the additionally needed material data). Or do I have to edti the IDF files manually?
