Does the OS:AirTerminal:SingleDuct:InletSideMixer provide any outside air control for the zone?

I'm trying to model a DOAS system with four pipe fan coils and osa/return air mixing before supply to the fan coils, using this configuration.

When I check the primary airflow for the inlet mixer, it does not seem to control for minimum outside air for the zone.

The four pipe fan coil object only provide maximum osa input and schedule.

My question is how can I model the system to make sure that the DOAS unit delivers minimum required outside air cfm to the zone? I'm using the latest openstudio v2.8.1.

Energyplus documentation shows there's a "Design Specification Outdoor Air Object" field and "Per Person Ventilation Rate Mode" field. But no input shown in openstudio.

This is being addressed in https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/pu.... Two new fields are added:

  • Control For Outdoor Air [Yes/No]: if set to 'Yes' (default since this is a an object that inherently meant for outside air), it will automatically populate the E+ "Design Specification Outdoor Air Object Name" field (by looking at the ThermalZone it connects to and its spaces).
  • Per Person Ventilation Flow Rate Mode: same as the E+ field.
