Hello everyone,

I recently installed Openstudio 2.8 in my system and OS plugin in Sketchup 2017 got updated as well. I want to switch between OS 2.7 and 2.8. How can I do that?

Thanks Ranjani

For clarity, "legacy-openstudio" is not the previous version of OpenStudio. It's the original direct-to-IDF OpenStudio, which has now been renamed Euclid.

@__AmirRoth__ I was referring to this.

Important Installation Note Installing the OpenStudio suite after the Legacy Plug-in will install an OpenStudio version manager to the SketchUp plug-ins menu that can be used to switch between versions. Installing the Legacy Plug-in after the OpenStudio suite will remove the version manager. To restore the version manager, re-install the OpenStudio suite.

I am not able to find the version manager.

If you want to use 2.7 after installing 2.8, you have a few options. One is just to re-run the 2.7 installer, and it will re-set the SketchUp plugin to use OpenStudio 2.7. You will still have both 2.7 and 2.8 installed on your machine, this just changes which is associated with the SketchUp plugin.

You can also follow old post on manually installing the SketchUp Plugin. And as a variation on this you can edit the existing configuration file by hand with a text editor to change which version of OpenStudio it loads.
