I am trying to simulate the IDF file provided with the legacy example of MLE+ tool. It is in version 8.9 so I have installed EnergyPlus 8.9. But after running this , it is showing me the above mentioned error. Can anyone help me to solve this issue asap???

I was able to solve the problem. I have installed the latest version MLE+ which have been developed for EnergyPlus 9.1.0 and as well as installed EnergyPlus 9.1.0 and also selected the java version as per the requirement of MLE+ installation file. Then it worked.

Can you point me to where I can download the latest version of MLE+? This is the latest version I can find on github but it's 5 years old, and the upenn link no longer works.

I Google this question and found this from Thierry Stephane Nouidui, PhD at the Simulation Research Group Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory at this post:

you should use Java 7 which is the version used to compile current release. You might be able to set the path to your JAVA_HOME to Java 7 so you can keep using Java 8 for other applications.

Thank you for your suggestion.... I have tried that but the error is not being solved.

You may want to try the same example using the BCVTB instead. Otherwise, I will suggest to contact the MLE+ developers.
