Hello

I am trying to model a window in EnergyPlus with two shading devices at the same time. one is at the external and the other is at the interior of the window. The exterior is a fixed shading (and can be controled) and the interior is a blind that can be controlled

I would like to ask if it is possible to add 2 mobile shadings for a window at the same time ?

thank you

Mike

What is the behavior of the exterior shade? You describe it as fixed but also controllable. How is it being altered and when?

yes , I mean it can be a fixed shading (like a blind with a fixed slat angle) or a mobile shading that can be controlled.

Did someone find the solution to this?

I´ve checked the WinCalc option mentioned above, but the I/O manual doesn´t really specify how to use it. I´m trying to simulate a window with two shading layers - external blinds and internal curtains, both actuated independently.

If you use WinCalc engine option, you will be able to model multiple shading systems.

Insert the following in your idf:

WindowsCalculationEngine , ExternalWindowsModel;

Check other I/O information in InputOutputReference guide.
