The input that you provide to EnergyPlus fully describes the position and orientation of each surface. The coordinates or other inputs in the surface input objects, the coordinates and direction of relative north in the zone input objects, the inputs to the GlobalGeometryRules input object, the North Axis input in the Building object, and the building rotation in the Compliance:Building object are used to describe the position and orientation. Please look at the various objects in the InputOutputReference to gain a deeper understanding.
