This is caused by an EnergyPlus bug in the Kiva foundation model that was fairly recently fixed for EnergyPlus v9. We don't yet have a release of BEopt that includes the new EnergyPlus version.

For the time being, the only workaround is to grab the EnergyPlus IDF from BEopt, transition it to EnergyPlus v9, and run the file manually in EnergyPlus.
