Hi,

I want to design a system with a ZoneHVAC:PackagedTerminalAirConditioner object and control the fan speed based on the cooling demand, so for instance if the cooling demand is greater than XXX [W] operate the fan in 75% of its maximum speed, otherwise in 40%. However, based on the I/O document I can use either a FAN:ConstantVolume or a Fan:OnOff which don't allow me to control them based on the cooling demand. Is there any way to control the system in this way?

You are correct in that the PTAC does not allow a variable-speed fan. You might look at the AirloopHVAC:UnitarySystem object since that object can use a variable-speed fan and can be either connected as zone equipment or used as a single-zone air loop.
