DView with incorrect variable descriptors
When opening DView (instead of ResultsViewer) for viewing OpenStudio 2.5. / EnergyPlus 8.9 results,
DView adds a superfluous "**Design Day**
" to every variable name, as you can see below:
In ResultsViewer, on the other hand, there is no such extension of variable names, which proves that DView display is wrong (including axes labels).
Can Software developers confirm this as a BUG ?
are you looking at the results from the design day run or the annual run?
I am looking for the annual run results only, and the curves seem to be displayed correctly - it's only that the variable names apparently have been modified by DView.
any chance you could share a model that exhibit this behavior?
here is a time-limited download link, but the reported phenomenon seems to be occurring with any idf model;
have you not experienced the same ?
I must admit I haven't, but I never select "Run for Sizing Periods" (you did, in SimulationControl)
I can reproduce the behavior on Ubuntu using Latest DView. And confirm that this happens also when "Run for Sizing Periods" is disabled. You should go open an issue on https://github.com/NREL/wex/issues
I was using Windows10. Anyway, "Run for Sizing Periods" was meant in addition to running the simulation for the weather file period (= a whole year), which probably should generate output for design days as well as for the weather file period. ResultsViewer displays the above mentioned sql data without the "Design Day" label extension. --- I might need to open an account at github (?)
