DView with incorrect variable descriptors

asked 2018-06-14 13:07:01 -0500

updated 2018-06-20 02:43:16 -0500

When opening DView (instead of ResultsViewer) for viewing OpenStudio 2.5. / EnergyPlus 8.9 results, DView adds a superfluous "**Design Day**" to every variable name, as you can see below:

In ResultsViewer, on the other hand, there is no such extension of variable names, which proves that DView display is wrong (including axes labels).

Can Software developers confirm this as a BUG ?

are you looking at the results from the design day run or the annual run?

I am looking for the annual run results only, and the curves seem to be displayed correctly - it's only that the variable names apparently have been modified by DView.

any chance you could share a model that exhibit this behavior?

here is a time-limited download link, but the reported phenomenon seems to be occurring with any idf model;

have you not experienced the same ?

I must admit I haven't, but I never select "Run for Sizing Periods" (you did, in SimulationControl)

OP's problem has been reproduced and a proper GitHub issue was opened: https://github.com/NREL/wex/issues/79
