Hello, I am modelling an office building using designbuilder and to for my base case I am assuming the following: under the HVAC tab => MechVent => ON => I am using the per person method and assuming for all zones (toilets, offices, open offices, hall, stairs, circulation areas, reception) the following:

Engineering experience and field studies indicate that an outdoor air supply of about 10 l/s per person is very likely to provide acceptable perceived indoor air quality in office spaces, whereas lower rates may lead to increased sick building syndrome symptoms. ASHRAE Handbook: Fundamentals 2009, chapter 16.10

is it a valid assumption??

thanks

Yes, that is a valid assumption, though would be lower for spaces like hall, stairs, and circulation areas. You should refer to ASHRAE 62.1 for detailed space-by-space inputs.
