Hi everyone.

I've done modeling with the openstudio and Energyplus idf editior, so now checking the results whether the plant loops work well or not. I have a one chiller, one thermal storage, two fan coil units and two heat exchangers(fluid to fluid). chiller can charge thermal storage through the heat exchanger and also one of fan coil units. When thermal storage is charged during the charge schedule, it can discharge to another fan coil unit also through the heat exchangers (fluid to fluid).

After Energyplus simulation run, I checked all the loops have temperature differences except the thermal storage source side inlet/outlet temperature. Now In my modeling results, thermal storage source side's inlet temperature and outlet temperature has a perfectly same temperature.

Is it possible result? or am I missing something to concern? Anyone has experienced this problem?

Have you checked the flow rate through the thermal storage tank inlet and outlet nodes? Sometimes identical entering and leaving node temperatures indicate that no flow is happening.

I've checked but there is a value of mass flow rate. I saw the 6 output:variable, Chilled Water Thermal Storage Use Side Mass Flow Rate [kg/s], Chilled Water Thermal Storage Use Side Inlet Temperature [C], Chilled Water Thermal Storage Use Side Outlet Temperature [C], Chilled Water Thermal Storage Source Side Mass Flow Rate [kg/s], Chilled Water Thermal Storage Source Side Inlet Temperature [C], and Chilled Water Thermal Storage Source Side Outlet Temperature [C]. Chilled Water Thermal Storage Source Side Mass Flow Rate [kg/s] has a value, not zero. Do you think this is a possible result?
