SketchUp looking for OS1.5.0 when OS1.6 is installed

I updated OpenStudio from 1.5.0 to 1.6.0, and I changed SketchUp from the 32-bit to the 64-bit version. Unfortunately I cannot get SketchUp to find the new OpenStudio Plugin. I keep getting an error "Error loading OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-In cannot load such file C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenStudio 1.5.0\Ruby\Console"

I tried a couple different orders of installation. I get this message even after I uninstalled and re-installed SketchUp. I also get this message when OpenStudio isn't installed at all.

I imagine that some place on my computer there is a residual file telling SketchUp to load the old OpenStudio version that escapes the uninstall. Does anyone have any thoughts?

To clarify, the error message occurs when I open SketchUp not OpenStudio.

When you install OpenStudio v1.6.0, the SketchUp plugin is installed to C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins. However, if there is an OpenStudio plugin in your AppData directory, it will override the ProgramData location. Check that there's no plugin in %APPDATA%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins.

Thank you! It turns out the other problem I had was that the appdata\ folder was hidden on my work computer. I only noticed it existed when I was attempting to use the dependency walker listed here: http://nrel.github.io/OpenStudio-user...

That same help document was what allowed me find the directories for sketchup plugins. I uninstalled 1.5, deleted all plugins in the listed locations, and then rei-nstalled OpenS 1.6.0. Now I'm up and running.

SketchUp must be installed BEFORE OpenStudio for OpenStudio to recognize it . When SketchUp is installed on your computer, OpenStudio finds SketchUp during the installation. If OS does not find SketchUp, there should be a pop up during installation.

This actually happens even when I've uninstalled all versions of OS.

The Sketchup Plugin for 1.6.0 only works with Sketchup 2015.

I suspect that perhaps you are using a version of Sketchup from before 2015, which is likely the source of your problem. This would be why your version of Sketchup is loading an older version of the OpenStudio plugin.

I am doing a complete re-install, updating both SketchUp and OS. I am doing the same thing on two computers and on the one where OS1.5 was NOT previously installed, everything works great. I'm using SketchUp 2015 (64) and OS 1.6 (64-bit).

Same goes for OpenStudio 1.7.0 Used it now, started working after placing the OpenStudio.rb file and directory to the %appdata% directory
