i am a new user of Energyplus and Openstudio. Currently, i am calculating the cooling load of single zone room using ideal air load setting. i noticed that i also specified the configuration of natural and mechancal ventilation to the zone. After i do the zone sizing with the summer design day, i can obtain the time varying supply air flow rate. i am curious if the value of supply air flow rate include the amount of air through natural/mechanical ventilation to the room. Hope some one can help me with this , Thanks a lot!

Your supply/design air flowrate should account for ventilation loads; I recommend refering to the Engineering Reference or Input Output Guide (or here).

However, the best way to find out would to be to run a test (i.e., all mechanical ventilation, all natural ventilation, no ventilation) to see how your design air changes. If those results don't provide an answer, present them here again so everyone has more information.
