GLHEPROGFunctionImport Not Functioning Properly

Alright, I have used GLHEPro for years to design well fields for my company so I am knowledgeable in its uses and application. Previous workflow included using eQuest but this is my first time trying to use the measures in E+.

Sizing is not a problem as the results seem to align with my experience in well fields but bringing the G-Function back is not working at all. I get an immediate notification while applying the GLHEProGFunctionImport measure that there are missing fields. Then when I apply changes and review the well field I notice that some of the data is in the wrong fields.

I am attaching a copy of the measure warnings and a screen shot of the openstudio loop. Also, I am including a copy of the G-Function export from GLHEPro. The error starts at the ground temperature and continues on.

I am not sure if this is a software version issue but I am up to date on everything including the latest version of GLHEPRO.

Any thoughts? Even if I open up the GLHEPro output and manually enter the data something is just not right. image description

You don't mention what version of OS you're using, but I tried using the GLHEPro Measure not too long ago (w/ 2.1 or a 2.2 release candidate) and it was having problems. I think the Measure may need to be updated.

I am using 2.2. I wished I knew a little more about measures then I would tackle making this work.

May I kindly inquire what your workflow was for eQUEST?

Found my own solution. I cannot write code from scratch but I can sure edit it. I was able to modify the original Ruby file to align the values from the GLHEPRO G function output to the data needed for E+.

Apparently, somewhere down the line there was a change and it shifted the data. Once it was fixed it brought everything in and worked perfectly.

Cool! Would you be willing to send your fix to openstudio@nrel.gov so we can update the Measure on BCL?

I would be happy to.
