Hi,

I am trying to understand modeling the windows open/close behavior in an E+ simulation model. Some studies have modeled it as increasing the design infiltration rate by multiplying it by 25, i.e., 5 air changes/hour (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/...).

Suppose If I want to manually check in the .idf file about how this can be modeled, what is the best way? In the model, I am seeing one INFIL_QUARTER_ON_SCH with values up to 1. If I change that to 1 (i.e., full infiltration) and turning the HVAC schedule OFF robust enough to represent a window opening?

Has anyone dealt a similar problem before?

Thanks in advance. Albert.
