Discrepancy in Coil size in HTML vs Coil size in eso hourly profile

asked 2017-03-21 12:14:07 -0600

Hello All,

Why the chiller coil sizing in HTML is higher ( approx. 30-40%) than the coil size reported under eso variable hourly output. Similar, behavior has been observed for the the zone cooling coil load reported under HTML and .eso hourly output profile. The hourly coil load never touches the value reported in HTML.

Any insight would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

It may be because of Sizing:Parameters Cooling Sizing Factor. I think the default value is 1, but maybe it is 1.3 in your idf.

Thank you, Adam. Yes, this was one of the reason as DB uses sizing factor at different locations and i missed out somewhere.

Thanks again!!
