For horizontal surfaces like a floor or ceiling, what is the starting vertex position?

For example, if the starting vertex position in the global geometry rules are LowerLeftCorner, for a rectangle floor any of the four vertex can be the starting?

Buried in the I/O Reference it states:

For horizontal surfaces, any vertex may be chosen as the starting position, but the Vertex Entry Direction convention must be followed.
