hi guys! I am trying to find out the heat gain and loss from one building due to windows and infiltration. My problem is that it turns out that the results of the simulation show heat gains during the winter. why do i have heat gains in the winter when indoor temperature is higher that the outdoor? and also why the infiltration gains are such lower than infiltration losses for every month? is it normal?

You're talking about net heat gains during the winter? Solar heat gains would be expected year around.

i want to know the amount of heating energy that is lost and gained through the windows monthly. i used the tabs ''ZONE WINDOWS TOTAL HEAT GAIN ENERGY '' and ''ZONE WINDOWS TOTAL HEAT LOSS ENERGY '' from ''WindowEnergyZoneSummaryMonthly ''. is it wrong?

I don't believe so. From looking at those you're saying the gain is greater than the loss in the summer?

in the summer yes, but i believe that loss in summer should be zero and gains in winter should be also zero.because heat flows from warmer surfaces to colder. so in the winter when the indoor temperature is higher gains from windows should be zero and the other way around in summer.
