Install older versions of OpenStudio

asked 9 years ago

Om's avatar

Hi,

Could anyone please give me some advice on how to stall the old version (1.0.0 or 1.0.1) of OpenStudio? I have to use OpenStudio with EnergyPlus 7.2. I am using Windows 10. I found information about these versions from https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/re.... Is it possible to install the program from the source code?

Thank you very much in advance for your valuable answers.

We don't have builds on github back that far but we do have them in other locations. Here is a link to the 64 bit 1.0.0 and here is a link to the 32 bit 1.0.0.

@macumber, Thank you very much for the links. However, they gave me version 1.1.0 which still require EnergyPlus 8.0. Could you please share me the link to 1.0.0 or 1.0.1? Thanks again.

Here is the 1.0.0 link. Just out of interest, why are you locked into using EnergyPlus 7.2? We aren't going to be able to support such an old version if you run into any issues.

Sorry, just answering too late at night! I have updated the answer above to point to 1.0.0 builds. @David Goldwasser the 1.0.0 release on github doesn't have binary installers.

@David Goldwasser, Your link is similar to what I provided in my original message. It does not have a Windows installer. Therefore, I would be glad if you could guide me on how to unpack and install the software from source code. I tried to do it last night, but wasn't familiar with the process. To answer your question, I unfortunately have to work with a software application that still rely on EnergyPlus 7.2.

@macumber, Thank you very much for updating the links. The 64 bit version does not properly install. The 32 bit version installs well.
