These are the major areas where we are intended to use the sketchup. Kindly let us know if using Open Studio with SketchUp has all this capabilities efficiently....

  • Building Energy modeling using Open studio plugin (using energy plus as solver).

  • The purpose of energy modeling is to check the effect of polymeric coating to building roof on room comfort and inside temperature.

  • Effect of insulations to wall/roof on room comfort

  • Cooling and heating load calculations (HVAC)

  • Total energy calculations for completer year or specific period cycle

  • Building energy rating calculations e.g. LEED certifications

To be clear, OpenStudio (the application) can do all these analyses, yes. OpenStudio (the SketchUp plugin) can be used to create your building model geometry from scratch, and also can create and apply many of the elements of the energy model (constructions, schedules, etc.), but the OpenStudio application is the main place for getting things done. Through the app, you can apply report measures to get your LEED calc info; the other items you list are all just part of EnergyPlus' core capability.
