hi everyone

is it possible to model a dedicated outdoor air system (or any other mechanical system) that sends fresh air into the zone without heating or cooling that? I want to condition the air in the zone itself. by for example hot water baseboard.

as I searched in the software it is not possible. am I right?

regards ali

It is possible to setup HVAC systems to do this but it is easier to use one of the simple airflow models, such as ZoneVentilation:DesignFlowRate, that are intended for adding outdoor air to the zone.

thank you

but I want to check the comfort criteria.

I could add a DOAS without cooling or heating coil for mixing RoomAirModelType. not for OneNodeDisplacement model. As the OneNodeDisplacement model uses mundt method, it is not suitable for my system whose inlet is near the ceiling. what other roomairModelType do you suggest?

all the best ali

For occupant comfort results you only need to add a People input object and select one or more comfort models --, it doesn't matter for comfort if the outdoor air is coming in through HVAC or simple airflow. I would suggest using the mixing model for ceiling diffusers.
