OpenStudio does not start in SketchUp 2016

I installed SketchUp 2016 and OpenStudio and OpenStudio did not automatically start. I was able to get it to start by going to window->preferences->extensions but why is not checked by default?

This is a known issue in SketchUp 2016, hopefully the SketchUp team will fix it soon. In the mean time, you can just continue going to the extensions window and enabling the plugin manually.
