OpenStudio simulation runs but the data is garbage

I teach a building systems course. Last year, my students and I used OpenStudio 1.1.0 and SketchUp 8 successfully. SketchUp was updated in the lab to 2014, so we downloaded OpenStudio 1.5.0. We are using the same workflow this year that we successfully used last year. The energy simulation runs, but the results are garbage (i.e. random amounts of electricity assigned to various uses, some months with no electrical use at all, gas heat in June and July only). The simulation notes no errors and a varying number of warnings, none of which seem to be fatal. Any ideas?

@Christopher Cosper can you provide more details about the workflow you are following?

  1. What type of building are you making (what template are you starting from)?
  2. What type of HVAC system are you using?
  3. What location are you using?
  4. Can you give a link to one of the models?

  1. I have used office and restaurant; my students are using various templates.
  2. I tried two systems with my office: PTHP with one unit per zone, and Fan Coil Units with one fan coil per zone, a hot water loop, and a chilled water loop (all connected).
  3. Chicago, IL
  4. I could potentially link the model--how do you want to do that?

Just want to confirm, but you also have updated the simulation engine to use EnergyPlus 8.1? (I think that's included w/ OS 1.5 but not positive)

@Christopher Cosper you could upload the model to Dropbox or google drive or an FTP server and post a link here.

A good place to start would be your input schedules. #GIGO
