Any issues with Windows 10 and OpenStudio 1.8.0?

Currently I am using SketchUp Pro and OS 1.8, in both Mac OS-X and Windows 7-64bit operating systems. Aside from not being able to run the E+ IDF editor on OS-X, and several minor GUI things, the experience is similar between the two OSs.

Has anyone made the change to Windows 10 yet? Any issues/positive points? Differences running on a virtual machine?

I did participate in the Windows 10 preview and found it to be functionally similar to Windows 7. They say it's "The best one yet"...only if I can do BEM with it! :)

Saw a post today with an OS loading error with Win10 64-bit; looks like non-ASCII characters in Windows user names is not currently allowed.

I'm currently running on Windows 10 with no problems (SketchUp Make, EnergyPlus 8.3, OpenStudio 1.8) and not having any major issues. I've had a few oddities like drag and drop suddenly stopping working in OpenStudio but it was fixed with a reboot.

Depending on how concerned you are about odd error messages popping up (and if you tried out the beta, obviously you're not too worried), you might want to hold off a while. To be fair, that was mainly in the first day or two and seems to have settled down now.

Thanks! @Jamie Bull ; I'm going to try the full version out next week, but plan to run Win10 in a virtual machine first before going all in

Sounds like a good plan. Try out your hardware first
