How can we @mention a user with a space in their name?
I'm guessing this won't be a common problem but there's at least one case where there is a user (Yi) who is registered using just a single name, which overrides an attempt to @mention another user (Yi Zhang). I won't tag them again here but you can see the problem on this answer.
I've tried a few obvious things like replacing the space with an underscore, a hyphen, removing the space, but none of those work. Is there a way of using markdown to avoid this problem or is this something that needs to be fixed behind the scenes?
I tried editing that but you are right it is not working properly. It used to work fine, see this Thread, where Yi Zhang is tagged properly.
@Jamie Bull <- This will work until someone else changes their username to "Jamie". This is indeed a problem. I'll look into it.
@Neal Kruis Was there a solution to this? I'm trying to mention @Julian Marrec, but as you can see, it goes to a user named Julien instead of Julian Marrec.
@Mitchal Dichter, it looks like it just worked for your mention of me. I think the problem is you are spelling @Julien Marrec wrong. And now I'm seeing that there is another Julien that is causing the problem. We'll look into this!
@Neal Kruis I think the problem is still there, even for the original @Yi Zhang and @Yi user mentions, which should go to /users/342/yi-zhang/ and /users/115/yi/ respectively, but both go to /users/115/yi/.
