Schedule:file in openstudio

Can we add a schedule file in OpenStudio without using a measure? In OpenStudio, I can load the schedule file, but I cannot apply it, or I may have missed something. When using a measure, I was able to apply the schedule file. But without using the measure, after loading the schedule file in OpenStudio, I assumed it should appear in the library on the right side, but I could not find it.

Is there a way to apply a loaded schedule file directly in OpenStudio without using a measure? Also why cannot I add the schedule file on Schedule Sets?

I don't have any particular knowledge here, but I see that Schedule:Files were added to the OpenStudio application here. Maybe that will you give some context/insight.

I was using OpenStudio 3.9, and today I installed 3.10, which has this feature. It seems it was updated recently.

I have always used this measure from the BCL: https://bcl.nlr.gov/content/b3ff0a0f-... It looks like there is this one as well: https://bcl.nlr.gov/content/6f9422b4-...
