Water Cooled Jacket Equipment
How would I model a water cooling jacket heat load?
I have a plant where evaporative cooling towers are sending cooling water to a heat exchanger in primary, open, circulating loop. The secondary, closed, loop serves always-on electric furnace that is cooled via a water cooled jacket. I am able to set up both loops, pumps, adiabatic pipes, the heat exchanger so it's connected between both loops, etc. But I don't know what I can use to represent the furnace. I am not interested in air-conditioning the space at this stage, I'm trying to establish the tower operation serving only the process load (furnace cooling). I know the heat flux from the electric heaters, and jacket inlet/outlet water temperatures and the flow rate. What can I use to represent this load? I tried Coil Cooling Water but it asks for airflow rates which is not the actual case. The Coil Electric Heating obviously cannot go into a water loop. And so on.
