cathedral roof modeling in floorspace.js
How to model a cathedral roof in floospacejs? It only does flat roofs but I am tired of sketchup geometry errors and have switched to floorspacejs. I am thinking of raising the space ceiling to the average height of the slope roof to keep wall area and conditioned volume accurate, creating an unconditioned attic above, floor ceiling between is air wall, attic walls adiabatic, attic roof as per the real roof, but use a multiplier in the spaces tab to increase to flat area to equal actual sloped roof area. What does the world think of this?
I had the same curiosity last year. The best option would be to export that file to SketchUp, where you can do that easily. One trick my friend used was exporting that geometry into EnergyPlus and modifying the building's coordinates although I haven't tried it by myself.
