eQUEST hourly AMY 2024-2025 Toronto weather files
Hi,
Does anyone have a good resource, ideally free, for hourly Actual Meteorological Year (2024-2025) for Toronto, Canada? They would need to be in .bin format, or atleast .epw that I can convert to .bin for eQUEST.
Most of the data I found either did not have the right format (.bin or convertible .epw), the resolution was not hourly, or the source did not have anything for Toronto.
Alternatively, I have the hourly weather data already from Environment and Climate Change Canada and RETScreen Canada, but do not have a working method to create a .bin file with it.
I tried Elements (https://bigladdersoftware.com/project...) but it did not work correctly. The .bin file I got changed the values for the weather parameters, once I saved and reopened it. I could create it correctly in the .elements format, but it would not convert to .bin
Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Curious to hear about the details of what you tried with Elements. Elements is a "relational editor" that always enforces the relationships between psychrometric and solar variables but source variables should have passed through unchanged (minus the differences in accuracy possible in the bin format vs epw) and derived variables should have been fairly close. I'm guessing that wasn't the case? If you could share the issue, I'd be happy to log a bug report. (For full disclosure, I worked on Elements). Thanks!
