When simulating photovoltaic performance using Simple PV (Generator:Photovoltaic with Simple performance) and the more detailed One-Diode Model (PhotovoltaicPerformance:EquivalentOne-Diode), I observe output values that differ by one to two orders of magnitude even when both systems are configured as closely as possible. The Simple model produces realistic values, whereas the One-Diode model predicts implausibly high or low power output for the same conditions. When I use the PhotovoltaicPerformance:EquivalentOne-Diode input data from the EnergyPlus InputOutput reference results, they are roughly x10 apart. When I enter manufacturer specs for a panel with 22% efficiency, results are off by a factor of 60. I am not sure if this is a modeling error or something within EnergyPlus that is not computing correctly.

I am looking at this output: Whole Building:Facility Total Produced Electricity Energy J
