OpenStudio 1.6.0 application won’t start via .exe on Windows

Hello,

I’m having an issue with OpenStudio on Windows. The application (openstudioapplication-1.6.0, version 3.6.1) cannot be opened directly by double-clicking the OpenStudio.exe file. When I try, the interface just stays stuck on the loading screen indefinitely.

However, if I open an already saved .osm file, the program launches normally. Is there a known fix or workaround?

Thanks in advance!

On another computer I’m experiencing a different issue. I cannot open an already saved .osm file by double-clicking it. The only way it works is to first launch OpenStudio.exe and then use File → Open to load the .osm file.

Does anyone know how to fix this so that I can open .osm files directly by double-clicking them?

This works for me on windows with OpenStudio application 1.10, is there any reason that you are using an older version of the OpenStudio application?

Can you try downloading and using the latest version?
