number of parking spaces per building type in EnergyPlus

I'm interested in methods for estimating the number of parking spaces by building type, to determine the number of EV-capable parking spaces. Has anyone explored this before? DOE provides the following reference to estimate the required EV-capable parking spaces based on the total actual parking spaces (source: https://afdc.energy.gov/laws/11068)
