When I add a shading control (interior blinds) to my model, I can not use Radiance for the daylighting simulation and I know that this because the option for controling the shades in Openstudio are related to the thermal properties. my model is simple and cubic and I am using OS verion 1.5.0. Is there any possibility to control the blinds (being active, not activated or cut off control) due to glare issues (for example when the DGPs value reaches 0.4, the blinds become activated with the proper angle)?

@mateoosz, again, shading controls are not fully working with Radiance in OpenStudio yet. Further, DGP is not a metric than EnergyPlus evaluates. We hope to have the Radiance support for both shading controls and for DGP released in a couple of months.

I am not sure I completely understand your question, does your OpenStudio model work when you use EnergyPlus for daylighting but not when you use Radiance? The following tutorial might be helpful in getting your model working with shades:

Shading Controls Tutorial

Once the shades in your model are working when you use EnergyPlus for daylighting you can watch these videos to see how to use Radiance for the daylighting engine (note that shades are not yet supported with Radiance, development on a three phase method to support them is in progress) :

Unfortunately, the Radiance support for models with shading controls does not work at the moment. We hope to add that in an incremental version update Very Soon[TM].

I think the option "Glare control is active" is not working in OpenStudio. I change it to "yes" but the idf corresponding field remains to "No".
