I am not sure I completely understand your question, does your OpenStudio model work when you use EnergyPlus for daylighting but not when you use Radiance? The following tutorial might be helpful in getting your model working with shades:

Once the shades in your model are working when you use EnergyPlus for daylighting you can watch these videos to see how to use Radiance for the daylighting engine:
