I can reproduce the issue using OpenStudioApplication 1.8.0 (i.e. OpenStudio CLI/SDK 3.8.0). However, the measure does work with OpenStudioApplication 1.7.1 (i.e. OpenStudio CLI/SDK 3.7.0). Which version of OpenStudioApplication are you using?

The measure/gem does have a compatibility matrix. It hasn't been updated to run with OpenStudio CLI/SDK 3.8.0, which among other things requires Ruby 3. See related (open) PR - I'm not seeing recent commits there.

The best would be to work with OpenStudioApplication 1.7.1 or earlier. Hope this helps.

I am using 1.8 and 3.8, thank you I will try this, it must be the answer. Although sadly I cannot open my model in the earlier version so I will have to do this going forward with a future model.
