Hello everyone,

I am new to this domain and currently working on an EnergyPlus model. The auto-calculated volume for my building appears to be correct, but I am receiving warnings related to triangulation in the geometry.

I have reviewed the Input/Output Reference guide and found that certain warnings can be ignored. However, I am unsure if these warnings fall into that category. I want to ensure that these warnings will not impact the accuracy of my simulation or lead to any issues down the line.

Can anyone reconfirm if I am good to proceed with the rest of the work? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

@Syed can you upload your error file to Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. and then share a URL for others to download? That would help others provide better solutions.

Without a file to test, it is difficult to know. One error that you may be referring to is "DXFOut: Could not triangulate surface=X, check surface vertex order(entry)." If this is the message you are getting, I would suggest that you do not ignore it but instead look at the order of vertices for all your surfaces and make sure they are all rotating the same way when viewed from outside. This can be a tricky problem to track down depending on how many surfaces you have.
