The BCL measure prototypes are not intended to represent the DOE/PNNL .idf prototypes, as explained in the openstudio-standards documention. The BCL measure will be deprecated and replaced with a measure to create "typical" buildings to help clarify the distinction.

The method you use depends on your use case: - Code comparisons and determinations under the Energy Policy Act -> use the DOE/PNNL .idf prototypes - All other use cases -> use the typical building models / OpenStudio measure to create typical buildings.
