So it turns out the results viewer was just taking too long to print the results on the screen. The results of a 2-zone model with a simulation duration of one year and a ten minute time step took about 7 minutes to appear!
I left my PC, went to get a cup of coffee and everything was on the screen when I came back. I have an HP laptop with an i5 4300M @ 2.60GHz, 8GB RAM, running Windows 7. Is this common for the computing power of my system?
